Las Vegas. The entertainment capital of the world attracts around 40 million visitors each year to experience the world-class shows, iconic hotels and casinos, and Michelin-starred restaurants.

There’s an unlimited number of things to do every day of the year, which is why we’d like to help turn your trip to InTheBlack into a Las Vegas vacation.

Your evenings during the conference are already planned, with Vegas-level entertainment that includes an exclusive Sheryl Crow performance during The Close Party on Tuesday, November 13. Every day is a winding road on the accounting and finance transformation journey, so we’re bringing you an incredible night of networking with gourmet food and custom cocktails.

Here are some additional events to help you plan the weekend if you decide to extend your stay.

Location, Location, Location

It all begins with the conference location. Caesars Palace is the premier destination for Las Vegas headliners and their concert venue, The Colosseum, is one of the best. Celine Dion is currently performing her final shows there, and you can catch one on Friday, November 16 or Saturday, November 17.

Absinthe was recently named by Las Vegas Weekly as the number one greatest show in Las Vegas history, and is described by The New York Times as Cirque du Soleil channeled through The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It’s playing every night in The Roman Plaza at Caesars.

Spectacular Shows

Is a Vegas trip really complete without a Cirque du Soleil show? If your answer is no, there are more shows to choose from than you may realize. From the aquatic extravaganza of “O” to the psychedelic performances in The Beatles Love, there is a Cirque show for everyone.

The Lion King is the third longest-running Broadway show in history, and it’s celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It’s returning to Las Vegas just in time for you to see it!

Blink-182 has a residency at the Pearl Theater, inside the newly remodeled Palms Hotel and Casino, and you can also see Cher at the Park Theater inside MGM.

Game Day in Vegas

Calling all hockey fans: you’re just in time to catch a game in the Vegas Golden Knight’s inaugural season. They’re Las Vegas’ first major league sports team and will be playing the St. Louis Blues at home on Friday, November 16.

Looking for a place to watch your favorite team play, or at least check the score between InTheBlack sessions? Head over to The Book, an award-winning sports book with a new, custom built, 143-foot HD LED screen―conveniently located inside Caesars Palace.

Other options at Caesars include the luxurious man cave called the Montecristo Cigar Bar, the season-long tailgate party at Spanish Steps Bar, and the ultimate tailgate VIP table inside the Alto Bar.

For the Thrill Seekers

Caesars is getting ready to open Fly LINQ, the first-ever zipline on the Strip, on November 9. You can fly side-by-side with your colleagues 12 stories above the crowd at The LINQ outdoor promenade, upright or Superman-style.

If that’s not exhilarating enough, (safely) jump off the Stratosphere instead! The SkyJump is an open-air leap from 829 feet above the Strip and holds a Guinness World Record as the tallest freestanding observation tower in the US.

For a different kind of thrill, choose your dream supercar from the Exotics Racing fleet and race around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Escape… Outside

Vegas is known for its ability to keep visitors inside. Take a break between sessions to grab some fresh air and explore the Strip.

The Bellagio Fountains are not to be missed, and the volcano in front of the Mirage fires nightly. You can also see thousands of tropical fish in the Silverton Casino’s 117,000-gallon aquarium, Chilean flamingos in a wildlife habitat at the Flamingo hotel, and circus acts over the Midway at Circus Circus.

Hershey’s Chocolate World and M&M’s World are also fun to explore, especially if you have a sweet tooth.

All of these are within a 17-minute walk from Caesars Palace.

Explore Utah & Arizona

If you’ll be ready for a change of pace (and scenery) by Thursday, a trip to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon may be the perfect way to wind down from the conference. Discover the magnificent beauty of these three unique wonders, just two and a half hours away from Vegas when you begin at Zion.

Here’s a three-day guided tour that departs from the Luxor Hotel in Vegas.

There’s an App for That

Now that the entertainment element of your Las Vegas experience is set, let’s talk about the best way to stay on top of all the exciting things happening during the conference: the InTheBlack 2018 mobile app.

The app gives you instant access to important updates, session abstracts, speaker bios, detailed maps, and social media activity. You can also engage fellow attendees in some friendly competition and earn points to be entered to win a prize.

Download the app today to get all of the information you need prior to the event and begin building your personalized agenda.
